Why are button-fly jeans/pants so difficult to find? Honestly, I hate zippers. They’re such a pain. Generally speaking, they also love to break easily.

If George Bush can have a War on Terrorism, can I have a war on zipper-fly jeans/pants?

Today, we stopped at Albertsons to pick up a new bottle of syrup. Our previous bottle had mysteriously sprung a leak. Messy, and not very fun. Anyway, as I headed to the register area, I stopped to glance at the “clearance carts” positioned right in front of the registers. Much to my surprise, I saw a cart filled with drugs: ibuprofen, children’s pain reliever/fever reducer, Azo, etc. Everything was $.99; nothing had expired (or would be expiring anytime soon). Needless to say, I couldn’t pass up the chance to stock up on a few essentials. I spent about $15 on $75 worth of medicine. This is definitely stuff that we use in our household and that we always want to have on hand.

What an unexpected surprise! I love to save money and stock up on useful things at the same time. Good fun.

I keep forgetting that I’m 25 now.

Yes, it’s true- I turned one quarter of a century old on 06/06/08.

This is just ridiculous.

She informed her bosses of her intentions before she did anything. Since they gave her their approval, you’d think everything would have been alright. This wasn’t even a frivolous, rebellious thing- it was done in the spirit of supporting a friend, of raising awareness for a cause.

At least this story has a happy ending. Come on now, folks- this is 2008. A woman shaving her head should not be this shocking.
